Why is Sample Preparation So Important?

ICP Analysis as an Example: ICP (Inductively Coupled Plasma) spectroscopy requires the sample to be in a liquid state and at a specific acid concentration. If the sample is solid, it must first be digested to a liquid state and diluted with appropriate acids. Otherwise, problems such as instrument clogging, incorrect results, or low sensitivity will be encountered.
