EQM-402 Ball Mixer Mill
The EQM-402 Ball Mixer Mill serves as an excellent tool for preparing samples for analysis, as it efficiently crushes, mixes, and homogenizes small sample volumes in a matter of minutes. It has been specifically developed for the final preparation of hard, semi-hard, and fragile materials – with a volume of up to 50 ml. The mill is capable of processing two samples at once and can reduce them from an initial granule size of 0.8 to 1.5 mm to sizes below 10μ in nearly no time (typically within 1 to 4 minutes.)
The outstanding efficiency-time ratio of this unit makes it perfect for the final reduction of grain size, preparing samples for fusion processes. Utilizing grains smaller than 10μ accelerates the sample's homogenization with the flux, significantly reducing fusion times. Additionally, it is particularly advisable for preparing and blending samples with binding agents to create disks or pellets for subsequent analysis via X-Ray.
The EQM-402 Mixer Mill enables the reduction of dry samples to a final particle size of 10μ within 1 to 4 minutes, all from a compact desktop device. It is user-friendly, featuring an intuitive software interface and a touchscreen that allows control over the microprocessor, which can store up to 5 customizable working programs, including adjustable parameters like speed and milling duration.
The unit features two sample containers that are simple and secure to attach, linked to a robust engine. A set of hinges transmits the engine's power to the milling jars, generating strong agitation. Inside the jars, the sample forcefully collides with milling balls of varying sizes.
It is very user-friendly. You place the sample in the milling jars along with several balls, depending on the sample's type, initial size, and the desired final grain size. Next, choose a program and hit “start.” The jars' oscillating motion leads to the balls impacting the sample, thereby crushing, milling, and mixing everything inside. Utilizing balls of different diameters allows you to achieve various final grain sizes based on your milling requirements.
