CONOSTAN Calibration Standards
Base oil, blank oil, stabilizer, and chlorine-in-oil standards for spectrometric metal analysis preparation. 20 cSt and 75 cSt viscosity options, supplied with CoA.
Base Oil & Blank Oil
Two viscosity options: 20 cSt and 75 cSt. Base oil for preparing calibration standards; blank oil for matrix matching.
| Property | 20 cSt | 75 cSt |
|---|---|---|
| Property | 20 cSt | 75 cSt |
| Specific gravity (25°C) | 0.84–0.86 | 0.86–0.89 |
| Viscosity 40°C | 14–18 cSt | 65–72 cSt |
| Viscosity 100°C | 3–4 cSt | 8.1–8.7 cSt |
| Pour Point | –7°C | –15°C |
| Flash Point (min) | 175°C | 215°C |
| Trace metals | <0.10 ppm | <0.15 ppm |
Very low trace metal content in both types — no interference risk when preparing standards.

Applications
FAQ
Base oil has no certificate and is used for diluting calibration standards. Blank oil is supplied with a CoA and is suitable for matrix matching.
Multi-element standards such as S-12 and S-21 are prepared in 75 cSt base. Single-element standards use 20 cSt. Match the viscosity to your standard series.
Compatible with XRF and ICP-based chlorine determination methods per ASTM and ISO specifications.
The formulation is designed to fall outside hazardous material classifications under transport regulations, simplifying shipping and disposal.
